Gottne
Welcome to Gottnebygden
Gottnebygden is an agricultural village with ancient origins, located along the beautiful Moälven river where Utterån and Moälven meet. Here, just two and a half miles inland from Örnsköldsvik, you will find a place where history and nature go hand in hand. The villages of Gottne, Östansjö, Söderå and Hållen make up Gottnebygden, which consists of around 250 households.
The village is home to many families with children, and is home to the independent village school Gottne Byskola, which is run by Gottne's community association. The school has a focus on nature and health, and offers a safe and warm environment where everyone is seen. A school that truly reflects the calm and inviting atmosphere of the village.
For football fans, there is Gottne IF, where you can sit in the stands and cheer the team on to victory - or why not join the team yourself? Gottne IF works to create a culture characterized by joy, respect and openness.
For those interested in fishing, the area offers fantastic fishing waters, including grayling fishing in Utterån, which flows into Moälven.
The Future Church, with premises in both Gottne and Mellansel, is an open and welcoming church that offers community and participation for all.
And for those who like to shop and have a coffee, there is Gottne NBC, a popular second-hand shop that many people visit. There's also a café - a gathering place for anyone who wants to grab a coffee and socialize.
