Gottne
Gottnebygden is an agricultural area with ancient roots. It lies along the beautiful Moälven river, just where the Utterån and Moälven rivers meet, just under two and a half miles inland from Örnsköldsvik. The villages of Gottne, Östansjö, Söderå and Hållen make up Gottnebygden, which consists of 250 households.
Many families with children live here and there is the independent school Gottne byskola, which is run by Gottne's community association. The school has a focus on nature and health and is a warm and safe school in a quiet environment where everyone is seen.

The area offers good fishing in several waters for those interested in fishing, such as grayling fishing in Utterån, which flows into Moälven.
Framtidskyrkan is located in Gottne and Mellansel and is an open church that offers community and participation. Gottne NBC is a large, popular second-hand shop that many people go to visit. It also has a café and is a gathering point in Gottne for those who want to have a cup of coffee and a chat.
