Mellansel is home to the international and high-tech company Hägglunds, which is a leading supplier of large hydraulic drive solutions. Bredbyn is home to Polarbageriet, which produces, among other things, the popular Genetunnbröd thin bread and other tasty breads that we find on the bread shelf in our grocery stores.
We also have a wide range of services where we fill our shopping bags with clothes, shoes, flowers and gifts, eat well, go to the salon, get our cars repaired and can dash off to buy what we need for our buildings, or get help from our many craftsmen and service companies. In short, we have a really good range of commercial services.
We also have the municipal and regional services that offer schools, health and care. Our health center won the 2022 award as Örnsköldsvik's best health center and our BVC nurse Annika is absolutely fantastic. Our secondary school Anundsjöskolan in Bredbyn was built in 2018 and around Anundsjö there are nice village schools and preschools with competent and safe educators for our children.
Our many associations offer activities such as skiing, hockey, football, gymnastics, orienteering and more. And all this with the fantastic nature around the corner where there are both mountains and valleys with slalom skiing and fine beaches.
